TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR MAKING RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS FOR GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS, CHARTERS, GALAPAGOS PACKAGES AND CRUISES, YEAR 2010-2011
RESERVATIONS
 

Before making confirmations, be sure to check on availability, departures, fees and itineraries.
In order that your reservation be considered valid, you must send it in written form by fax or e-mail. Include the full name of the person, nationality, passport number, route and any other type of special requirement such as diet, allergies or VIP. A reservation is considered confirmed after a minimum deposit has been made and reconfirmed when the payment is completed.

YACHTS AND GALAPAGOS PACKAGES OPERATED BY GALACRUISES (Air tickets to/from Galapagos must be issued by Amazon Wildlife Inc- Air fares could be modified, without previous notice; a penalty of USD 40.- p.p will be included if tickets will not be issued by Amazon Wildlife Inc)

PAYMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL PASSENGERS (FITs)

• To assure space, all reservations require a minimum deposit of 20% per person

•  Reservations made max. 120 days before the departure of the tour:
  A deposit must be paid until 8 days after the date of the reservation.
  The balance is required 60 days before the departure of the tour.

• Reservations made 119 to 60 days before the departure of the tour:
  A deposit must be paid immediately.
  The balance is required 60 days before the departure of the tour.

• Reservations made 59 days to 1 day before the departure of the tour.
  Total payment is required immediately.
  For double sharing cabins, we will apply the normal rate in double but we do not guarantee that those passengers will share with male or female. Please ask for help in case of any special requirement.

  CANCELLATIONS

  1. Cancellations made 121 days or more before the cruise will be penalized with $250 per person.

  2. Cancellations made 120 to 61 days before the cruise will be penalized with the total deposit.

  3.Cancellations made 60 days before the day of departure will be penalized with the complete   amount of the tour.

  PAYMENTS FOR GROUPS (MORE THAN 8 PAX), CHARTERS AND GALAPAGOS PACKAGES
  (Air tickets to/from Galapagos must be issued by Amazon Wildlife Inc - Air fares could be modified, without previous notice; a penalty of USD 40.- p.p will be included if tickets will not be issued by Amazon Wildlife Inc)

  -1st deposit 30% of the total net price of the tour
  -2nd deposit 20% of the total net price of the tour
  -Final payment 50% of the total net price of the tour
  -Reservations made max. 180 days before the departure of the tour:
  -A first deposit must be paid until 8 days after the date of the reservation.
  -A second deposit is required 120 days before the departure of the tour.
  -The balance is required 60 days before the departure of the tour.
  -Reservations made 179 to 60 days before the departure of the tour:
  -A first deposit is required immediately.
  -A second deposit is required 120 days before the departure of the tour
  -The balance is required 60 days before the departure of the tour.
  -Reservations made 59 days to 1 day before the departure of the tour:
  -Total payment is required immediately.

  CANCELLATIONS

  
  1. Cancellations made 181 days or more before the cruise will be penalized with 10% of the price of the tour
  2. Cancellations made 180 to 120 days before the cruise will be penalized with 30% of the price of the tour.
  3. Cancellations made 119 to 60 days before the cruise will be penalized with 50% of the price of the tour.
  4. Cancellations made up to 59 days before the day of departure will not be refunded.

  CANCELLATIONS DUE TO ILLNESS

  If a cancellation due to illness is made up to 61 days before the cruise, the deposit will be charged. 

  If a cancellation due to illness is made 60 days to 1 day before departure, penalty of 100% will be charged. For this reason, we highly recommend to all passengers to obtain an insurance which will cover this unforeseeable situation.

  OTHER VESSELS: Payment and Cancellation Policies
  We will send you the policies that each ship applies

  
  CHILDREN’S CONDITIONS (available only for cruises operated by Amazon Wildlife)
  Children must be accompanied by an adult (parent). Up to two children (7 years old) may be accepted per adult.
  No discounts will be available for children.
  When a group of children is accompanied by adults, the charter fee will be applied.
   

  RECOMMENDATIONS

  We recommend that all tourists bring their traveler’s insurance when coming to Ecuador.
  Children under 7 years are under their parents’ responsibility. Amazon Wildlife and the vessels are not responsible for the personal security of the children.

  
  CHARGES FOR LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS OF AIRLINE RESERVATIONS
  If, after having reconfirmed a ticket for a flight to Galapagos with a connection to one of our cruises, we are informed at the last minute that the passenger is not going to fly or if the passenger does not appear at the airport, a $20 fee plus VAT will be charged.
