Indigenous People of the Amazon Rainforest, committed to the
conservation of the Amazon Rainforest along the length of the
Napo River in Ecuador, across the Peruvian border and all the
way down to its confluence with the Amazon River. The Napo River
is one of the Amazon’s largest tributaries, Our journey will
take us from Puerto Francisco de Orellana in Ecuador all the way
to the mighty Amazon at Iquitos in Peru, meeting the indigenous
people of the Amazon along the way, and learning about their
customs, lifestyle, myths and legends.
We will
sail for four days with Amazon Cruises, whose boats have double,
twin, and triple cabins with private bathrooms and hot water.
During this part of the journey we will have the opportunity to
disembark in a few indigenous villages along the way. On the
fourth day we will transfer to a motorized canoe, on which we
will cruise for two days and two nights along the Amazon River.
During this part of the journey we will spend one night sleeping
on the river bank in tents, and the other will be spend in the
town of Santa Clotilde, near Iquitos,
